In Richard's signature process, metal tiles are cut and assembled in one-of-a-kind configurations and fastened with bolts. He then transfers a single, digitally manipulated photograph onto the metal to span the entire assembled piece. Cut and etched glass tiles are sometimes added before preparing the composition for mounting on the wall. The layers of photography and glass create dynamic images that read best in person.
